How am I compensated?
Students are compensated with a virtual VISA gift card. This gift card is managed by external vendor, My Dash Card (Dash). Each time you complete a study task, the same gift card is reloaded with funds. Card can only be used to make purchases in the USA.
How do I activate my gift card?
- The first time you are paid, you will receive an email from [email protected]. The subject line will be: “Digital Card Redemption from University of Michigan”. Be sure to check your spam.
- Your access code is the zip code of your current local address (where you reside during the school year). If you live in a dorm, use that zip code!
- Always activate your card ASAP. If not activated within 180 days, a $5.95 fee is deducted each month from your balance.
- There can sometimes be a slight delay between when the cards are issued and when money is loaded. Please allow a day for the system to update.
- When you activate your card, you will make a Dash account and create a password. Save this information for later.
How do I access my funds?
After you activate your card, log into your Dash account with your email and password. The login portal is https://www.mydashcard.com. You can also access your account through the Dash mobile phone app.
When am I paid?
You are always paid within two weeks. After you complete your first survey, the card activation email from Dash will arrive in your inbox within two weeks. When you pass the class or complete another survey, more funds are reloaded within two weeks. Our Research team will send you an email when money is reloaded. If you do not see an email within two weeks, contact us.
