In the last few weeks, I have learned a lot about the process of doing research and learning to pivot if things are not going according to plan. I have had to change direction on my project and drastically reassess the work I had completed and planned on continuing. I think that taught me a lot about what it means to be committed to research and learning to be less rigid about what you are exploring. It has been really challenging for me to accept the direction I am going in now, but ultimately I think it has given me a different perspective of my area of interest, which I am grateful for. I have consulted many different books and articles for my research and have become familiar with various authors on my topic. This has been really cool because I am able to see the similarities and differences between their viewpoints and it has broadened my knowledge of the topic. I am anxious about getting everything completed in time but I am hopeful!
