There’s No Such Thing as a Free Blog

Okay so ngl this prompt did give me some trouble. My immediate thought was “oh Riley you know how to crochet you should just make a lil video” but to be honest I don’t feel like anyone wants to watch like five minutes of my voice and hands and also I’m wayyyy too lazy to actually go through all that work of setting up a camera and figuring out how to speed up the repetitive parts. So, onto the backup plan, which I’m randomly deciding as I type this right now, real time.

Um. Product review: THIS HONEY CREAMER natural bliss Honey Cream

I LOVE honey, like I will straight up drink it plain (don’t judge me) that’s how much I love it. So the other day when I was doing my classic Meijer run (with a friend because I don’t own a car) I saw this bad boy in the creamer section. Immediately I was HYPE, imagine me dancing in an aisle with this creamer because it’s HONEY.  As expected, I buy it, take it home, and put it in the fridge, ready for the next day.

NEXT DAY: I wake up and get ready (okay so normally I’m all about not getting ready, but one of the summer subletters in my house is always presentable in the morning and I couldn’t handle running into her in the kitchen in my pjs and bedhead, so…yeah). Anyways, I’m lookin cute, feelin’ cuter, ready to be *fancy* with my honey creamer. The coffee gets made, I take some cute snaps for my friends with said creamer before pouring it in.

I open up the top seal thing and take a whiff…. it seems a little weird but I assume it’s due to the plastic lid, right? Anyway, I pour it in, a decent amount (according to the serving size, it can be in like 32 drinks which is insane so like an amount more than I’m supposed to be using but not excessive in my mind), and then I stir! it! up! When it’s ready for a sip I go to smell it again and this is when I know something’s up. It smells weird, it’s not inviting me into the warmth of a morning coffee, it’s slamming the door in my face. I double check to make sure it’s not expired and then proceed upstairs to my room.

This is when I take the first sip. I almost spit it out. I don’t know how to describe it except for the fact that it’s just NOT GOOD. There is no honey in my coffee… or my heart. There’s a very strong aftertaste as well, but there’s barely honey in that either. I take the coffee back down to try to make the taste go away with milk and sugar but the damage has been done, the creamer is too strong. My coffee, along with my hopes and dreams, was ruined.

In hindsight, honey creamer seems like a disaster waiting to happen, but I was young and dumb. Overall recommendation: 0/10, would not recommend. Thanks for joining me on this wild ride.
