[su_heading size=”28″]Hey y’all my name is Caiser Bravo. I am originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania but came all the way to Michigan to study Nuclear Engineering. I am also minoring in physics and International engineering. Out of this group I’ll be the odd one out as an engineer but I love exploring other fields and learning as much as possible![/su_heading]
I have to be busy at all times or else I get bored super quickly. Because of that I am staying extra busy this summer. I currently am working with Dr. Maria Cotera on Chicana Por Mi Raza to preserve the voices of Chicanas and Latinas during the Civil Rights and Feminist movements. I do that project more for the culture aspect and because I am a Latino myself and want to learn hands on information about my culture. Some other things I’m doing for the culture is being part of ALMA Core and the La Casa E-board. ALMA stands for Assisting Latinx Maximize Achievement which is an orientation for incoming freshmen and I am part of the group that is planning it this year. For La Casa I am member Liaison so if you’re on the email list you’ve already gotten updates from me. To further my career, I am doing research on neutron-neutron angular detections to characterize special nuclear material in the Nuclear Department on North Campus. Finally, I am working as Summer Conference Assistant at West Quad for the housing and meal plan.

Besides that I love spending time with my family even though I am far from them. I call them every night! In my spare time I like to surf the internet for memes and cultivating all the most obscure knowledge.
