‘Suh dudes

Well this is the post where I write about myself…… I’m Riley, I’m a double major in psychology and sociology, and I’ll be a junior in the fall. I came all the way from AZ (I grew up in Illinois so yes, I’ve experienced snow) for school without visiting first, which was a risk but definitely paid off. My research is about female surgeons and is still in the very early stages of a literature review before we actually start trying to answer the main question. As for future goals, I’m aiming for a Ph.D. in Psych, and then eventually becoming a professor (which is a fairly common goal here).

But onto the fun stuff about me: I don’t do much. Seriously. Every year I renew my inhaler but I have yet to actually run out of puffs, that’s how much I don’t do physical activity. My perfect day would be reading a book with like 50 blankets on me + all of my pets (this is an obvious segway into talking about my pets).

The first picture is Tuco, he’s 13 but young at heart. The second is Bean, who was found on the streets. He’s scared very easily but I love him. There’s another chihuahua but I’m too lazy to move the pictures from my phone to my laptop. His name is Jack and he’s the friendliest dog you’ll ever meet.

The beautiful cat pictured above is May, and she loves to play with Jack and watch birds out the window. We really didn’t expect to get a cat because my mom is lowkey allergic but, I mean, look at her- she’s adorable.

As for this summer, I will spend it trying to stay in AC and counting down the days until I can move into my house for next year (my current house is… undesirable). Books will be read, literature will be reviewed, focus groups will be transcribed, blogs will be posted, and Netflix will be watched. In August I’ll be turning 20 (#Leo) and visiting my sister in Nashville, so if anyone has recommendations of things to do there, let me know. Uhhhhh, yeah this is all I can think about myself, obviously there is more to me as a person, feel free to ask ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
