The Wednesday of a WAGSFP Fellow

The best part of my research is that i can do it anywhere.

So on this beautiful (jk I hate the rain) Wednesday, I need to do around 3.5 hours of research, plus our seminar. My day kicks off to an early start because my wonderful neighbor is remodeling their house and wow it’s loud and annoying. So I wake myself up fully with a decent amount of coffee and give myself an hour to not feel like I’m half-asleep.

Once I’m awake enough to function, the research begins! It’s just a literature review at this stage, so…. that’s it. I just read articles and take notes, I meet my mentor on Thursdays so unfortunately the one thing that would make this more interesting hasn’t happenedĀ  this week yet. I would go into detail about the articles I’m reading, but for the most part they have the same general idea so I don’t want to spoil my journal presentation next month (you can try to read the first page of this article I suppose if you’re really that interested). Depending on the state of my wallet, sometimes I like to go to a coffee shop on campus to work, or just somewhere else for a change of scenery. But today it’s raining and I have coffee here, so I’m working from home.

So…. yeah, I’ll just be reading with a small lunch break somewhere in there before our seminar this afternoon, and depending on what happens in tomorrow’s meeting, I’ll either be doing this next week too or we’ll be ready to start designing interview questions!
