For my internship, I will be working for the Friends of Parkside which is a neighborhood in Detroit. This neighborhood is a public housing complex that houses several people in it. My summer project is finding out how we can help the residents in this community have access to what they need during this pandemic time. I will be working with many different people to ensure that they have everything they need to get through this period.
This first week has definitely been a change in terms of what I had to. I had to learn about the community and attend many meetings in order to get accustomed to my tasks this summer. It was definitely strenuous, but it was also enlightening. I can’t wait to continue with this internship
