Today is a huge day. You are starting your first full-time job. I expect you to be on time, and communicate with your manager as much as needed. Don’t be afraid to ask questions or thoughts. Don’t be afraid to share your input or ideas. Never waste time, always know what your plans are for each day and week. Have a set schedule and to-do list. Take notes and always remember to reflect on experiences. You want to learn more about how ordinances can be implemented into communities, especially the Special Assessment District one that you will be working on this summer. Your current perception of Detroit is positive because you can hear that growth is happening and you feel exited about it. You want to be a part of this growth to make a difference. You hope to contribute to the good things happening in Detroit.
