Week Seven: – Detroit Community-Engaged Research Program

Week Seven:

I have learned while working with this nonprofit, specifically since it is associated with political/legal issues, that the level of activity fluctuates constantly. Some weeks we are busier and it feels like I have so much to do while for others it feels like there is barely anything for me to do. I think the slowest points are when I finish one project and have to start a new one. It always takes a few days to receive feedback or to be assigned something new so those periods in between always feel like a quiet lull. That is what I am going through right now since I just finished up working on a few things and have to decide what I want to do next.

Tomorrow, however, is a big day for the city council as it is the last formal session before they go on recess. I am looking forward to seeing the issues they present and vote on.
