Here are some suggestions on how to write an effective blog:
– This is not an essay or scientific paper! Use first person, contractions- your own personal voice. While you want to use proper spelling and grammar, don’t feel like you need to confine yourself to the standard essay format you’re used to in other classes.
– Use links. If you reference an interesting magazine article, link it in your blog. If you want to show a relevant youtube clip, go ahead and include it in your post. http://writetodone.com/new-style-blog-writing/
– Use pictures when relevant. They make your post more visually appealing and interesting to read.
– If you prefer to create a podcast or video, feel free to do so. If you have any really creative ideas you want to try, let me know and we can discuss it.
– Please be respectful in your posts and comments. Do not use any offensive or derogatory language.
– While there is no word count for written blog posts, please make sure your posts are insightful and contain all the necessary information. For those of you who aren’t sure where to start, 250-500 words is a good range to follow.

Hello WAGSFP, my name is Trina.
I really enjoy listening to music, and doing other things as well to take it easy. Currently my favorite songs are “Karma Police” by Radiohead and “Abraham” by Sufjan Stevens. These songs contain open-ended and speculative interests, with the former suiting men who ironically drone to empty skies and the latter adopting an ascetic and…
