One event that stood out to me that was outside of my placement, took place during a seminar exercise. We had to go out onto Woodward and observe the community from different spots. While I was observing, many people greeted me with a hello or a compliment. I just thought it was so nice how they did not even know me and still were willing to speak to me. Also, it was really great that they were interested in what we were doing as we stood in our different areas.
Many people give Detroit such a negative image by saying that the people are mean and rude. They put everyone in one category. When really their are really nice people in Detroit.

Yeah, global judgements don’t do speak to marvelous particularities which make any place special or person special.
