One of my favorite parts of the program so far has definitely been the seminars. I have really enjoyed all of the seminars, but especially the one where we went through the human centered design process and came up with a prototypes that would help someone with their morning commute. It was a great seminar that made me think differently about how I can go about addressing someone’s needs.
I especially enjoyed the idea that needs and wants could be discovered and analyzed by talking with a person directly. I think this approach really allows for solutions that work well with the person that actually would use the solutions.
I also liked the suggestion that when creating solutions, we need to think about how they would be realistically implemented instead of just talking about general ideas.
Overall I think the seminars have made me think about design and community very differently!
