Yay! You’ve adjusted. You got used to the type of research you were doing, made a group of friends, and most importantly learned how to drive in Detroit without getting lost every time! Of course there have been plenty of challenges, but you’ve done your best in tackling them and getting them resolved quickly. I don’t think Detroit ever became what you expected it to be, but that’s perfectly okay. You’re opinions of Detroit have most definitely changed for the better, though it still may not be a place you would like to live, you will surely be visiting it more often. There’s still so many good restaurants you were never able to make it to and you’re always finding out about new places you’d like to visit. In your time at DPS you’ve learned a lot, from new sustainability practices to fantastic professional life advice from your supervisor. Though the program may be coming to a close you’ve been trying very hard to extend you internship, I hope it works! Good luck!
