I do not think I have learned much from the Tuesday meetings. For the most part, I feel like we were being talked at, and given information that could’ve been found just by going to websites. All and all Detroit has a lot of organizations that are doing really great things for the city, and it seems that most people in our program are at sites that really suit their interests
I have learned that there are so many places in Detroit I have not seen, and I am excited to explore the city as I progress in life. The Dequindre Cut was cool and so was the Russel Industrial Center. This program creates a lot of great opportunities to showcase the best parts of the city and creates opportunities to challenge the negative views that outsiders have when they enter the city.
