Being in seminars and group meetings have definitely taught me in regards to: speech delivery, planning, and people’s knowledge. In terms of speech delivery, I am referring to our Tuesday meetings. I’ve really learned that engaging an audience is an ultimate skill. I would say the only time I’ve truly felt really engaged in a Tuesday meeting (especially because we’re coming from a long day of work) when Angela presented.
Planning is really important just for making sure things are organized and making sure that everyone is on the same page.
Finally, just from hanging out with everyone and participating in meetings with everyone has continued to remind me that we are all at different levels in our learning, we all have knowledge about different things, and patience is a virtue.
