My supervisor, along with many Birghtmoor residents, was interviewed for this article, which was then placed in this magazine. I’ve visited different urban agriculture sites in Brightmoor, many within walking distance of each other. This small community, Brightmoor Farmway, has its own flavor within Detroit.
What was also mentioned in the article was the MSU Extension site that is located a few blocks a way from Brightmoor. Naim drove a tractor pulling a mower from the Neighbors Building Brightmoor location, to our site. MSU gets credit for this site without mentioning Naim, who is the site. Laboring with him and then interacting with various organizations who do similar work, I find it funny that MSU hadn’t given him a team.
