The program so far is going quite well for me. I have gotten a chance to meet some incredible people and see sights in Detroit that I never knew existed. It’s crazy to think that even though I went to high school downtown, I never took the time to explore the amazing parks, stores, and sites that the city has to offer. This experience has opened my lens to trying new things, and has allowed me to step out of my comfort zone in order to so. I am grateful for the opportunity to participate in this program, and meet the leaders of the current organization I work for. I am excited to discover what these last few weeks of the program have in store for me. So far, this has definitely been an unforgettable experience.
