The big show has closed its curtains. The experience was riveting.
I’ve got to say, while reading my first blog-post I could practically see the words jumping out of the screen with excitement – rightfully so.
I think I came in DCERP with a lot of good ideas about what a community is. For a final perspective on that, I’ll say community is like family. I feel that I can choose my family, and I can also choose to stay close to those who came naturally to me. Just like a community, I can choose to open myself up to a group of people, and I can choose to stay connected with those I have an organic connection with. I’m really glad I got to be in community with DCERP and all it entails.
May our paths cross again soon 🙂

Hey Myla,
After reading my own blog post, I was so excited too! It was this kind of naive excitement, not in a bad way, but in a wistful way, of wondering about whats to come! I also agree that family can be chosen. Care, compassion, and respect make family, genetics are just a plus!
