Productivity? DHDC W4 – Detroit Community-Engaged Research Program

Productivity? DHDC W4

ImageThis week probably wasn’t as productive as it could have been. I am going to blame the fireworks though which were really fun!

I am going to declare this week my lazy week; partially my fault and partially not. I was supposed to go flyering through Southwest with my supervisor but it was really hot and due to the sure to be adorable little baby she is going to bring into the world, she didn’t feel up to it.

I continued my “very productive” week with a day off for the 4th and a shortened work day on the 5th. The good news is that I made progress in my research. I began researching others cities that have high Latino populations and what they have done to reduce smoking in their communities. So far the common factor between all of the cities is education.

For that reason here is an education tidbit just for you: “Scientists have found that nicotine is as addictive as heroin, cocaine or amphetamines, and for most people more addictive than alcohol.”
