I had a little time on my hands so I figured it wouldn’t be a bad idea to write my post. Well right now we are preparing for our 2nd community meeting. Our first one was in River Rouge at the River Rouge library and now our second one will be in 48217 Southwest Detroit at St Benedict Church. Our first meeting, which occurred last week Friday, went pretty well and I am hoping this one will go better. We are making a few changes to this meeting; 1. We are letting the community members somewhat lead the meeting versus us. 2. We are having the meeting later in the day to allow time for people to get off work and settle down. 3. We are having community members contact other community members to invite them to the meeting versus us telling random people. 4. We are creating and bringing white crosses to the community meeting to talk about our white cross campaign. Hopefully all these will lead to a great meeting! Wish us Luck
