This week is feeling even more stable with work, I feel as if I’ve created good relationships with the people I work with and have gotten the routine down. I got the opportunity to attend a conference on confronting the question of current environmental issues from a spiritual lens. The conference was quite interesting even though I felt quite out of my depth. I definitely came away with quite a bit to think about.
This week Voices has been passing out flyers in the community for the neighborhood potluck next Saturday. We have been talking to the neighbors and explaining what Voices does and just chit chatting. This is the part that I’ve been most excited for, to actually get to meet the community that I’ve been working in and see what they think of Voices and what it does. I look forward to continuing this process and further getting to know them at the potluck and even conduct some interviews if I get the chance.
The following picture is of the first project I finished with Voices. It is a rain garden that we donated to D-Town. The garden helps with drainage of water and will also assist the bees in the area. It is composed of all native plants and helps to promote a diverse ecosystem.

Keep it up roomie!
