Letter for me pt 2 – Detroit Community-Engaged Research Program

Letter for me pt 2

Dear,Dennis.

Detroit has changed and it hurts. It’s not the same downtown or mid town any more. Everything is always made to make money and it’s sad. However, ” It is what it is”. I still love my city though. I was born here, raised here. It has my heart. However I wish they would’ve left downtown alone. There so many new building and new faces, Doesn’t feel like Detroit anymore. I’m in a program right now. I hope to learn more about myself and grow while helping my city in return. I want to be able to have something to look back on. Something I could look back on and say, ” it was worth it” I want to grow closer with those I know. Not because I want to I’m fine with Netflix and chips. However sharing information and learning someone else’s perceptive would be nice.   However if that’s not how thing play out …cool.  Being that i’m from Detroit, i want to offer my perceptive to them. Every time gentrification is brought they always speak about speaking to natives. I’m a native. I know that my work ethic and my insight will help my company complete it’s goals.

Sincerely,

you
