Week 7 – Trying to Survive in the Heat!

I know my main project is to create a vacant property manual which is pretty much set, except my supervisor really wants information from DPD which is apparently almost impossible to get. (Yea they still haven’t contacted me back!) So I guess that project is on hold which makes me sad! But anyway, I’ve been given a lot of other little projects that were all really last minute, but they’ve proven to be very interesting to me so far. Again I’ve been able to go out and take pictures and this time I am taking pictures of houses that are on the demolition list. This was fun at first, but it was scorching hot this week!! And I have no AC!! It was really hard because this heat was no joke! But anyway I still enjoyed being out of the office. There are several other projects I were assigned to, but these were really easy and were completed by the end of the day. This week was very productive because alot of things were completed, but I am still waiting to be able to move forward with the manual!

  1. Yes I completely understand your problem with the heat, but you had it a lot easier than me because I had to do field labor in the woods in 90 degrees. Good luck getting contacted back so you can get your manual done. I know it is really important and the community will greatly benefit.

  2. I totally understand. I went door to door passing out flyers in our community in 90 degree weather and there are 270 units. Oh did I mention it was raining!! Haha I actually appreciated the rain because it was so hot. Anyway, I hope you get all the information you need! Good luck!

  3. I feel you! The heat has been devastating lol It is good you got to be out of the office though. I’ll admit, being in the office everyday in the same chair at the same desk, facing the wall is horribly uncomfortable 🙁
