One might think that most of my Detroit experiences are from my placement, since I spend most of the day there. Actually though, not much happens at the office.
The first experience of this program that stood out to me was the scavenger hunt from our second group meeting. Here we are, almost two weeks into the program, I pretty much know no one in my group, and I have to WALK for an hour. It was great. I really liked getting to know more people (shout-out to Ariel, Luke, and L’Oreal) and speed walking around Midtown. To me, this was the kick start to some super fun group meetings and group bonding.
It’s awesome to have so many new friends.
I wish I actually had the chance to participate in the scavenger hunt because everyone had good things to say about it. I probably could have had the chance to learn more about Midtown. Maybe I’ll actually go on the hunt one day.
